What is an Empire?

A local Empire is a group of Queensryche Campaign (fan club) MEMBERS, in the same geographical area, that can be in contact with each other on a regular basis.

The purpose for these local Empires is to bring together Queensryche fans and promote Queensryche awareness. As an Empire, we also help bring new fan club members to the Campaign.

A lot of Empires get together and plan "meet and greets" to get all of the current members and new members together, to get acquainted, exchange Queensryche stories, organize road trips for the various groups attending multiple concerts, or they get together to clean up a park or a beach, or they organize food drives, or maybe get together to distribute flyers, etc.

**The Zia Council is involved in many different endeavors at this time.  The Zia cleaned a mile along US Highway 70, and has also donated materials for the children's projects at the Roswell Public library.  Yearly, members of the Zia Council walk for Making Strides: A Walk for Breast Cancer.

AUGUST ELO, PART 2; THE ROAD TO OPERATION: MINDCRIME II

Welcome back, here are some things that will keep you "in the loop”, so to speak on the many things going on with Queensrÿche, Operation Mindcrime II, The Empires, The upcoming Tour, and everything in between.

Be sure you are watching the QR site at www.queensryche.com, so you can stay current on the dates that tickets will go on sale in your area.

Please be sure that you have your fan club membership current, so that you can access the Members Only portion of the QR website, so you get the latest and MOST THOROUGH news that is ONLY available to FAN CLUB members! To see your membership status, click on the campaign link from the main page. All of your account information (including when your membership expires) is listed on the bottom left panel.

You need to renew to qualify for MEET & GREET passes to be able to spend time with the guys UP CLOSE and PERSONAL.

Remind your fellow Empire members that they must be members of the official campaign to be in a local empire. ALSO, each empire must have at least 3 active (current) members in it. You can renew online at the QR website.

Be ready to:
1) Fasten your seatbelt
2) Set the cruise control on your car
3) Let the band take you down the Road to O:MC II at a venue near you!

It will “hit you like a two ton heavy thing!”

In the coming editions of the ELO Newsletter, we will be doing a series of "back to the basics" for the empires. This is for both existing empires, as well as for the potential new ones and will cover such things as who, what, where, when and how to be an Empire. So, stay tuned for more. We want everyone involved as we prepare to celebrate the arrival of a FALL TOUR & OMC II!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

WELCOME To the ELO Staff Uncle Adam , who will be working with Susan and I on some special projects. WE will have the “OH YEA” Section in the ELO , so we can get some updates and reports from him.

This is Adam Larson (UncleAdam) and I'm going to be working with Colin helping out with some of the ELO things. As most of you know, I've been running Freezing in Digital for some years now (since Micky left for the river Styx), and have been involved in a smattering of other QR related projects in the past.

We hope to take some of the many suggestions made in the forums from rants to reality. In addition to that we hope to spice things up a bit with some more contests, activities, and street team type things. Don't worry though I've been taking my medication.
