September 2004-The Zia
Council is a proud foster parent to Miss Wendi! Wendi, along
with other orphaned elephants and rhinos, is being cared for by the
dedicated people of
The David Sheldrick Wildlife Trust.

that Wendi's name, in the Meru tribal dialect, means "Hope."
